As the leading mobile phone operator in the country, Turkcell handled massive amounts of client data. To do this effectively and securely, the company utilized large data centers to collect, store, process, and distribute information.
Turkcell’s Gebze Data Center, located south of Istanbul, was one of Turkey’s largest, covering 33,000 SM. The data center accommodated Tier-3 spaces and was prepared for Tier-4 infrastructure. Key spaces included a total indoor area of 3,600 SM, with 2,000 SM of white space. Hill managed the construction of the center’s fourth module.
